Vaccines, encapsulated
into a particulate carrier, are suitable
for oral vaccination by food against
the common fish pathologies in aquaculture.
Vaccines are mostly prepared using
whole bacterial cells, inactivated
by heating or by chemical agent (i.e.
formalin), cells fractions, toxins,
synthetic vaccines.
The oral administration of this microsystem
by food represents a more practical,
ecological and less expensive way
to treat infections than immersion
and injection methods.
